Tattooing Art Close Up in Slow Motion

Tattooing Art Close

Tattooing Art Close Up it's me, Destin. Welcome back to Smarter Every Day. I am not sure how this will work out, but I want to know a little more about tattoos. So I'm just going up to a tattoo parlor and recognizing if they will let me video a tattoo implemented within slow motion with a Phantom. Let's see how this works.[ tattoo machine buzz] OK, we're in the shop, this is.

Leah? Right? - Mm-hmm. Hi. - OK, this is Leah, and she's an artist. We're not supposed to say .. What, is that what we call you? - A tattoo artist, tattooer, tattooist, in England they use tattooist. -. Excellent. OK, so, can you teach us how to tattoo somebody with. I predict this is the handgun. - Well, machine, we don't call it a handgun; that's a no-no. - So what do we have here? - This is a rotary machine. There are a few different tattoo machines, but the most commonly used is the coil, and I would say the second most common is the rotary machine. - Oh, genuinely. Can you show us how it runs? - Sure. This itself is the motor. - Ahuh. - The head of the needle, actually the needle table, connects here, and it goes through the tubing, which this is. - Is that what you deem? - We deem this. This is technically the grip. I'm gonna put on gloves. Not because I genuinely am a requirement to in this case because I'm not tattooing anyone, and all of this is infertile, but it's a habit.

It experiences strange to open a pouch without gloves on. - Oh, genuinely? - So I'm just gonna do it. - So it's an important thing? - Yeah. ( Destin) I used to think that a tattoo machine came to a unique needle quality and injected ink for the surface. It's multiple needles, and they're grouped for lining; however, it's more like a paintbrush for colors. Ink is held between those multiple needle points using capillary activity, and when it punctures the surface, it drags the ink down into the dermis.

- Tada! - Gotcha. So you've got. Now you have a needle in a tube attached to a machine, and you're ready to constitute that machine operate. So what do you do? The power, I'm guessing? - Power. - Rotary machines are pretty easy to understand. Here this motor has rotational flow, and it's translated to linear flow here at the needle table. That's pretty simple. Coil machines, however, are a bit more complicated. When Leah steps on this hoof pedal, that direct current is applied to the two scrolls. This alters those scrolls into an electromagnet, and it pulls this armature bar down, moving the needle.

When the armature table moves down, it transgresses the tour away from the contact screw, and that causes the electromagnetic environment to breakdown. The spring then recalls the armature, and it reenergizes the tour. This happens over and over, and that's it. That's how a coil machine runs. One message of careful, though. Just because you understand how a loop machine runs don't mean you know how to use it. Did "you've been" tattoo yourself? You did it? Let me ascertain. - Yeah, it's ridiculous. - Oh, that's .. - That's what happens. - So it's a bad hypothesis? - It's an awful idea. - What's your name? - Shawn. - Shawn really does not do Tattooing Close Up you. Lead to a professional like Leah right. - Yes. OK, now that we know how the machines operate, it's time to investigate what the needles are doing to the skin.

I drew particular lighters and a special macro lens to account for it at first 1500 chassis per second and then ramp it up to 3200 frames per second. This is why Tattooing Art Close Up hurt. OK, I have decided that I want to feel what this needle feels like because it's exciting on the surface and pulling it up, and you said you could do this without actually Tattooing Art Close me. - Yeah, I'm not going to use it.

I'm just going to utilize a needle. - I'm a little nervous. I want to know what it feels like, but I don't want a tattoo. This is the next best situation. - Yeah, precisely. - OK, a deep breather in. - Deep breath in, wheezing it out gradually. Tattooing Art Close Up That wasn't bad. - OK. - OK, I can handle that. - That was it. - OK, what did you do? - See there? - Oh. I can see why people get addicted to that because it's like a. It's like fear. - Yeah. - So this was the line needle, and this was the shading needle. - Correct. - And how many needles were on the front needle? - Five. - And how many were on the colors needle? - Seven. - Their "there were going."
